For the longest time I didn’t understand why I am still single. But today I had an epiphany although I yearn for love and affection I realized I don’t make time for my love life. I keep myself busy with school, the gym, and life in general. Not to mention my high standards… Smart, buff/athletic, good looking, tall, Caucasian, etc. it’s very rare to have all of those traits. I’m attracted to the frat/beach type boys… Their perpetual tan and good looks; it’s hard not to fall in love with them. I’ve had my fair share of one night stands and I’m done with that. Although my libido goes crazy (a lot) I know that simply “fcking” leaves me with a feeling of emptiness. I don’t have a hard time finding a fck buddy but passion and love on the other hand is hard to find. I don’t make efforts to meet anyone and I don’t socialize often (due to my heavy school load) so I should blame myself for my “loneliness”… People always tell me I am pretty, smart, and caring. Pretty faces can only get you far in life. I feel as though I am very humble about the way I am. It all came from experience… I was the ugly duckling. I got picked on as a kid… I compensated by being a scholar… And what do you know looks eventually came along and I grew into my body… It wasn’t until after my ex that I reached my full potential :) it took me a long time to respect myself and do things for myself rather than for someone else but I am finally okay being by myself and enjoying being single. Sure it gets lonely… But I know one day I’ll be okay. Once I graduate I know I will be able to focus on other aspects that I lack in life. If love comes along, it comes along… If it doesn’t, well it doesn’t that’s when I’ll be on my way to Australia to elope lmao. ✊
